How to Run the Command Prompt as and Admin in Vista or how to troubleshoot: The requested operation requires elevation
I ran in to and issue today with Vista. I wanted to flush my DNS [ipconfig /flushdns] . This is a very commonly used command especialy for those who edit webpages and post info to the web. Well I found out that I could not run the command from the Vista command prompt. To my suprise, eventhought the account I use to login to my domain has Domain Admin privaledges, I was unable to complete the task. The error I recieved was that the command needed to be elevated.
Below is a quick video I put together to help anyone who is having this issue. It solved the problem for me therefor I hope it will for you as well.
